A 501(c)(4) is a tax-exempt social welfare organization — a structure that allows community-driven work to operate with certain legal and financial benefits. Worker cooperatives are businesses owned and governed by the people who work in them.
I'm interested in both models as vehicles for building things that serve communities rather than extract from them. Ideas and projects in development. More here soon.
